Competency Development Skills

Competency Based Development

Competencies are behaviors, skills, or mindsets that describe excellent performance. They are success factors or standards specific to your company. Through interviews with people in your corporation at various locations and job levels, IDI will assist in recording, coding, and summarizing key success factors. The competencies form the basis of tools and processes such as selection profiles, self-assessment and development planning, multi-rater assessment, performance revisions, and leadership development.

Competency Projects

Competencies are behaviors, skills, or mindsets that describe excellent performance. They are success factors or standards specific to your company. IDI will assist in identifying and applying success profiles. The competencies form the basis of tools and processes such as selection profiles, self-assessment and development planning, multi-rater assessment, performance revisions, and leadership development.

Interactive Technical Training

Interaction Design can assist you in designing technical training - whether it's vendor instruction, software, user conferences, quality methods, codes of ethics, or any other content (the more "dry" or "boring" the content, the more promising the results) into motivating, team-centered designs that you can apply for both retention and commitment.

Competency-Based Performance Development Overview

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize the benefits of competency-based performance tools for individuals, managers, and Oracle as a whole
  2. Differentiate functional, leadership, and core competencies and how each can be applied using tools and processes
  3. Identify steps that individuals, managers, and teams can take to ensure success with performance development
  4. Access tools and additional information about competency-based hiring, assessment, development, and career planning
  5. Identify key dynamics of the competency implementation process based on research in high performance companies.
